After another girl goes missing, we find the kidnapper to be a man by the name of Mitchell Pearce. Mitchell's daughter Emily, was kidnapped and left to drown a year ago. After the press and police work died on the original case Mitchell became bitter and felt like Emily had been forgotten. Mitchell decides to start his own rash of kidnappings to keep his daughters memory alive. Mitchell is eventually shot and killed and it is left to our trio and Madame Korzha to find the second kidnapped girl. She is eventually found at the docks, tied to supports. After some very suspenseful moments, Houdini jumps into the water to rescue her before the water rises. During the end of this episode there is a huge twist in the story arc and it turns out that Constable Stratton is not exactly who she says she is. Instead her name is Penelope Graves.

Ratings & Review:

Review:Where to even start on this episode! By far the best episode to date and I cannot begin to fathom what would top it. First, lets focus on the "monster-of-the-week" side of the story and then get into that huge, what I'm doing to refer to as, story arc twist. This episode really starts with a bang and grabs our attention immediately. The introduction of Madame Korzha was great because this episode focused mostly on Houdini. It gave Houdini someone to go "head to head" with. For example, Korzha and Henri not only toyed with the general public, they were illusionists and con artists themselves. This reveals a side of Houdini that we haven't really seen before. He was frustrated beyond belief and also admitted some very wrong doings in his life that as we see troubles him to this very day (i.e. pretending to be a medium and causing a mother to kill herself). We also got to see the side of Houdini that was protective over his mother, going as far as to spy on her in a restaurant. Now moving away from the "monster-of-the-week" aspect and getting into the story arc. Up until this episode, we've been introduced to the characters and little bits have been revealed to us as needed. For example, we learn that Touie is in a coma, Stratton's father had died, Houdini enjoys occasional drug use, etc... This episode however thew a wrench into the mix. We finally see that Stratton is not who she says she is. The fact that it came at the final minute of this episode, leaves us craving more, much more! All I can say about this episode is that it felt perfect because everything fell into place so perfectly and revealed at the right time.
